201st Meeting : 28th Oct 2012 : Library - A Hidden Treasure

Shri Pandurangan,Librarian(Retd) was the Guest speaker on 28th Oct at MRC and he traced the development of Library globally.In India it was different, from the ancient Mud house storages, it changed to culverts only to further change to copper plate inscriptions and finally to Library.The speaker mentioned the books written by Adolf Hitler,Nehru and Karl Marx are those which created tremendous impact globally.The speaker also paid rich tributes to Shri Srikantan,Shri S R Renganathan and U Ve Sa who have zealously worked to further the cause of Library in the present age.
